The Inside Residential Loan Officer will be responsible for monitoring and receiving mortgage loan applications originated via the banks online origination system. The Residential Loan Officer is responsible for reviewing applications, educating customers on various mortgage products and the process from application to loan closings. The Residential Loan Officer will work with the mortgage lending team through the loan underwriting and closing process, following up with clients on any loan qualification or documentation issues.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers.
OTHER ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Minimum of three years of mortgage origination/ inside sales experience and proven sales ability. Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in specialized course work and training. Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage lending functions involving financial statement analysis, credit risk, installment lending, and general business finance. Working knowledge of all Bank’s products and services. Must possess strong time management skills. Excellent communications, negotiation and organization skills. Ability to achieve sales goals and performance metrics. Maintain accurate and complete loan documentation files. High-level of organizational skills. Proficient in computer-based programs including Encompass Loan System. Perform duties with minimum supervision using good judgment with the ability to display and possess a high degree of professionalism in all business contacts in accordance with established department rules and procedures. Work cooperatively with mortgage team members in the performance of job duties.
Establishes own work plan and performs work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices. Generally refers specific problems to manager where clarification of policies and procedures is needed.
