As a Personal Lines Account Manager, you will be part of our client relations team, communicating directly with our customers and supporting our sales team. Acting as the first line of response to our customers, you will communicate in an open, helpful, and engaging manner finding the right solutions for each customer.


You will connect with our clients via phone and email and organize and manage client queries responsibly. You will be empowered to utilize your insurance expertise while having the support of our knowledgeable team. You will be an ambassador for our brand.

Creates extraordinary customer experience for all customers in person, over the phone, and by written correspondence. Responds to all customer or company requests the same business day.  Provides support to sales team and other agency staff while striving to be a valuable team member.  Treats everyone with dignity, respect, and courtesy.  Conducts our business in an ethical manner.





Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers.


  1. Works with clients in ascertaining insurance coverage for all forms of personal insurance.
  2. Routinely review clients insurance and make appropriate recommendations.
  3. Work closely with and provide support for sales staff in placing insurance coverage for the prospects and clients.
  4. Makes any changes necessary at the request of the policyholder and agency staff.  Processes endorsement changes made to policies, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and new business.
  5. Acts as a liaison between policyholders and insurance companies through correspondence, over the phone, and via email.
  6. Stay up to date with a changing insurance environment, and many insurance company rules and guidelines.
  7. Conducts agency mailings to customers including annual update and needs survey.
  8. Receives and responds promptly to incoming calls from insurance companies, auto dealers, and lenders.   Responds to clients and company correspondence on a daily basis.
  9. Utilizes agency automation (AMS360/Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PL Rater) consistently and efficiently.


The above is a description of the ordinary duties of the position. It should be expected that from time to time, other duties, both related and unrelated to the above may be assigned and therefore required.





  1. High school diploma and other skills as needed.  Maintains current Property and Casualty license in State of Rhode Island (Other states optional). 
  2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Personal Lines Account Representative (Or similar insurance experience).
  3. Comfortable and proficient using automated agency management systems, comparative rating programs, Microsoft Office including Word , Excel, and Outlook, Adobe acrobat, and insurance company online programs and resources. Comfortable working in a paperless work environment.
