Facilities Internship

BankNewports Summer Internship Program will run June 3, 2024 - August 16, 2024 and will be located onsite in Middletown, RI.

Actively participate in the BankNewport Summer Internship Program by assisting the department with various duties and tasks.

At the culmination of the internship, the intern will create a final presentation to showcase the skills and knowledge acquired through the program.

• Assist Facilities team with internal maintenance duties including but not limited to plumbing, painting, lighting, and HVAC
• Assist with the sorting and delivering of mail from post offices and Bank locations
• Learn how to monitor and control card access systems for multiple locations
• Assist the facilities team with Work Orders and TrackiT Software
• Accompany facilities team on weekly site visits to spot potential security concerns in order to make proactive corrections as required
• Assist with various special projects as neededAssist maintenance technicians in day to day activities. Mail, Courier Run, John Clarke tasks
  and branch requests for repairs.
  
  

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Current High School Student or Graduate
• Need Drivers License
• Need to be able to lift 50 lbs

SUPERVISORY SCOPE:

No supervisory responsibility

INDEPENDENT ACTION:

Performs work within established guidelines and according to specific procedures.  Refers problems to immediate supervisor.
