Community Relations Internship

Actively participate in the BankNewport Internship Program by assisting the department with various duties and tasks.

At the culmination of the internship, the intern will create a final presentation to showcase the skills and knowledge acquired through the program.

This Internship is full time, on - site located in Middletown, Rhode Island.

• Assisting with community relations day to day duties
• Assist community relations and marketing team with daily and monthly administrative tasks including including Kadince grant/contributions/service hours tracking/data reporting
• Assist with internal and external communications
• Coordinate volunteer opportunities and bank Financial Literacy initiatives.
• Support coordination of BNWise financial education presentations in classrooms/communities (internal and external)
• Support coordination of We’re All In volunteer program – external opportunities for employees 
• Ability to prepare email communication (internal and external)
• Conduct community/non-profit research
• Lend support for Bank business receptions/events for customers, prospects, community members (set up, check in, break down)

• High School Diploma/ GED Equivalent
• Must be current undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university

SUPERVISORY SCOPE:

No supervisory responsibility

INDEPENDENT ACTION:

Performs work within established guidelines and according to specific procedures.  Refers problems to immediate supervisor.
