Overview

OVERVIEW:

 

The IT Manager is a hands on technical management position and reports directly to the CTO.  This position is responsible for the overall operations of the infrastructure department, assuring an efficient, secure and seamless delivery of IT services and support. The IT Manager works closely with the CTO to develop the roadmap and vision of the Bank’s cloud and infrastructure strategies.

Responsibilities

 

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for ensuring security, availability and integrity of the Bank’s cloud as well as on premise networks and systems.
  2. Manage and develop members of the infrastructure team.
  3. Work with the CTO, vendors and infrastructure team to design and implement on premise, hybrid and cloud solutions based on the Bank’s needs.
  4. Oversee the planning, installation, controls, and maintenance of IT systems within the organization.
  5. Manage IT infrastructure security programs, (vulnerability management, patch management, asset inventory and end of life systems and software)
  6. Work with the information security department cooperatively on the implementation and reporting of controls and program metrics.
  7. Keep current with technology, banking and information security industry news to assure the Bank has the latest information on products services and trends.
  8. Manage and cultivate relationships with critical IT vendors.
  9. Evaluate and recommend innovative technologies.
  10. Assist the CTO with creating the department budget.
  11. Provide and present metrics and KPIs to manage infrastructure performance.
  12. Responsible for BCP/DR plan development, testing and documentation.
  13. As a working hands on manager this position requires that you are available after hours.
  14. All other duties as specified.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience, two to five years in an IT management role (financial services or banking a plus). 
  • Hands on knowledge of networking, WIFI/LAN/WAN, Firewalls Windows Server, VMWare, hardware, hyper converged infrastructure and software.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies and cloud security
  • Experience with the implementation of security controls
  • Experience with CIS controls, IT Risk Management, patch management and vulnerability management programs as well as compliance (experience with regulatory agencies a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to work in both a team environment and on self-directed tasks are vital.

  • Sit or stand at a workspace and use a computer or other equipment for prolonged periods of time.
  • Meet the hybrid work schedule requirements for physically working in the office during normal business hours on Mondays and Wednesdays and another day of choice to effectively meet business needs.
  • Move office items weighing up to 35 pounds.

 

SUPERVISORY SCOPE

 

Manages infrastructure staff including performing reviews and setting annual goals. Develop staff members and work with them to follow the desired career path. Manage the day to day operations as well as the strategic direction of the team.

 

INDEPENDENT ACTION:

 

Establishes long and short-range strategic and tactical plans and aims within scope of bank-wide policies and goals. Consults with CTO where clarification of policies and procedures is needed.
